My Son was a victim of a mold infested County Jail. He was sentenced to 4 months and was serving his time at The Adelanto Detention Center. He became ill with a cough which continued to get worse over a two month period, then began to experience fever, chills, and night sweats for two additional weeks. During this time the only medication he received was ibprofen. He was finally taken to a hospital when he could not breath. He was taken to the County hospital were he was ventilated for 4 days and diagnosed with HIV. The Detention Center was in a huge controversy surrounding the ethics of the Board of Supervisor's quick purchase of the privately owned facility and during an investigation it was discovered there was extreme mold contamination. This facility is over 100,000 SQ FT with poor ventilation which was stated could not be corrected! They claim the mold issue was corrected and it was never really a concern. I have been investigating these issues since the death of my Son. I know
